No childhood is complete without arts and crafts. Arts and crafts are an important part of our lives. They allow us to use the creative part of our brain. Both children and adults can benefit.
There are countless arts and crafts projects available. You can choose from woodcraft, paper craft, pottery, jewelry work and more! When choosing an arts-and-crafts project it helps to have an idea of your budget. This article will explore a couple of these fun, cheap arts, and crafts projects. These projects are intended for a parent to do with their child.
To begin with we will use an egg carton. The egg carton you were about to throw away can be turned into a timeless piece of art. The materials you will need for this project include the egg carton, paint, paint brushes and cups of water. Also you will need scissors.
First you will want to set up the workstation. Or in this case it is more like a play station. You can rinse off the paint brushes in the cups of water. Begin by painting the outside of the egg carton with your child. Before cutting you will want to allow the paint to dry. Once the paint is dry, cut off each individual egg holder. You will want to paint the inside of each individual egg carton piece. Again you will want to let the paint dry. You have now created cute containers to hold your spare change. Your child will be so happy they got to help.
Younger children will enjoy the egg carton arts and crafts project. This next arts and crafts project is geared towards teenagers. You and your teenager can create a pretty suncatcher to hang in any window. This project requires six different materials. You will need beads, a mini muffin tin, a drill with a small bit, stretchy jewelry string, and a block of wood. Begin by putting the beats in the muffin tin. For 20 minutes put the beads in the oven at 450 degrees. The beads, of course, will melt. The cooked beads will need to be cooled and popped out of the muffin tin. You will not use the drill to make tiny holes in the bed. You will want to place the beads on a block of wood to do this. Now you will use this stretchy string and place it through the hole you have created. The finished product is a beautiful Suncatcher.
Arts and crafts projects create wonderful life souvenirs. Ask your child what kind of arts and crafts projects excite then. Arts and crafts projects can be a wonderful time for you to bond with your child.
